Sustainability begins with control of the chain: knowing where the leaf grows, who picks it and who packs it.

Origin

Picked by hand. Packed at the garden.

Our black and green tea grows in Sri Lanka and is picked by hand. It is packed there too, at our partner Ceyem Garden.

That way the leaf is handled once instead of three times, with less transshipment along the way. Matcha, the spices for chai and rooibos come from their own countries of origin. Blending and filling take place in the Netherlands.

For packing in the Netherlands we work with a partner who helps people with a distance to the labour market into work. They learn the work and they do the work.
